Yesterday it was a high of 79 degrees. Today the high is estimated as 39 degrees. Oh…the wonderful weather in Ohio. It may even snow over the next few days.
Mike was giving me a hard time the other day because I bought a green sweater from the Gap. He said I already had the exact same sweater. I said no…It is a slightly different color green. He just can’t appreciate that. Anyhow…I’m wearing it today, since it’s all cold and shit.
I took this online quiz at FindYourSpot.com. It asks you a bunch of questions to help you determine where the best places are for you to live. My No. 1 spot? Honolulu, Hawaii. Right. Let me just pack my bags… Mike took the quiz too, and it pointed him toward Lousiana for some strange reason. Never been there.
Today I heard someone at work using some awful sports metaphor like bottom of the something-inning-something-quarter-stretch-goal…I dunno. It pretty much sounded like blah blah blah to me. Very Charlie brown’s parents. I really think people should try to avoid this. Because I have no idea how to relate. It’s funny really, that metaphors are often used to aid understanding…but a sports metaphor is completely wasted on someone like me. It’s amazing that thoughts like this don’t cross peoples’ minds. Or am I the crazy one?

You may have noticed that I’m having issues with my flickr photos showing up on my blog. I’m looking into the problem. I’ll let you know when it is resolved.

We used to have this really ugly black couch and matching love seat. I had them for years. They were incredibly uncomfortable, and constantly had lint all over it. Very college-furniture-ish. I’d dig through pictures and find one, but I’m feeling kinda lazy. Well anyhow, when we finally decided to get rid of it, we called our trash pick up people, and asked them how much it would cost. They said it could cost up to between 15 and 30 bucks to haul it away. I don’t have a truck or the motivation to take it to the dump myself…so we opted for the pickup. So we took them out to the curb the night prior. Well it just seemed like all our trashy neighbors were staring in anticipation. And I was like fuck…I’m paying to have this hauled away…I’ll be pissed if someone just takes it.
So anyhow, some white trash people ended up knocking on our door and asking if they could have it. Mike had to tell them that we paid to have it picked up, so if they wanted to give us 30 bucks, then they could have it. Luckily they never came back, and no one seemed to steal them either. We only ended up getting charged like 15 bucks for the pickup so it wasn’t too bad.
But jesus, do we live in the ghetto or what. So not only do all our neighbors probably hate us and call us fags behind our backs (only the 12 year old boys say anything)…but they think we are stuck up because we can’t give our furniture away for free. fuckers.
I can’t wait to move.
