I’ve been trying out Ubuntu Linux on my desktop and I have to say that their tagline is very true. It just works! I was so pleasantly surprised at the ease of installing it, and the lack of any configuration tasks to get everything working. It’s been fun so far. I’ll let ya know if I run into any snags. But so far, it’s been faster and more stable than Windows, which makes me very happy.

I could never get videos to play in Firefox on Ubuntu (like on CNN or BBC). I know that it has to do more with bad web programming than an issue in Ubuntu, but it was still frustrating. Does it work for you? What was your trick?
