Why is it that my puppy is great at letting me know when she wants in from outside…but she can’t seem to tell me when she wants out. There have been several accidents right in front of the door. What gets me is she is fine when she is her crate over night or while we are not here. But when we are home…all of a sudden it’s like, “Where’s KC?” and there is a little piddle puddle on the rug in front of the door. We’ve wised up though and put plastic and a rug down..so it’s not so bad. I’m hoping that she’s going to grow out of this soon. Her bladder is still a bit unpredictable.

KC has learned how to sit, but she only seems to do it when it suits her. First I have to get her attention, and there has to be a treat involved. She always runs away from me. It’s frustrating because she’ll be bad, and my first reaction is to scold her, but then that makes her kinda frightened of me…and that’s no good. I’m trying to work on it. She responds better to positive reinforcement…but ya know sometimes you can’t help but yell “Bad KC!”. BTW…she totally gets when she’s in trouble. Her little tail goes between her legs and she hides either under the couch in the family room or under the bed.
