Yesterday I made another trip to the eye doctor. I have to admit I’m losing faith. First of all I was called by the office at around 3ish yesterday to tell me that my trial contacts were in-uh thought I already got my trials-and that I needed to make an appointment to come in. I was like…”uh, ok. I have an appointment already at 5:00 today.” Wow.
So I went in and they had ordered me the contacts I wanted in the first place. B&L Softlens 38-if anyone cares. They used to be called Optima FW and I’ve been wearing them since I was 14 years old. That is 13 years people. Anyhow I was happy cause it seemed like they were actually listening to me now.
Well I saw my prescription and just got really irritated. Not only was the strength weaker than the ones I currently wear (same for 4ish years), but the left and right were now different strengths. Fuck that! You use contacts for 13 years that are interchangeable and then try to switch to actually paying attention which is right and left. Fuck that! So anyway…I told the doctor I was concerned and showed him my previous 2 prescriptions I had actually remembered to bring with me…and then he just said well, that’s what the computer matched you up with. You don’t want to overcorrect your eyes…and he didn’t seem to get the different left/right issue I was having. I dunno. I may get a second opinion.
