I was sick yesterday, so I stayed home and slept most of the day. I did receive my copy of the brand new Futurama dvd, Bender’s Big Score though. I just have to say it was freakin awesome! I loved it. I can’t wait to watch it again with Mike. I don’t know if he’ll be able to appreciate it quite as much as me….but I bet he’ll still like it.
I also played the new Super Mario Galaxy game. Woah. Probably not a good game to play when you aren’t feeling well. Don’t get me wrong. It is super fun. I’m sure I will like it a lot. But it made me feel kinda dizzy and a little naseous from the odd planet curvature am I upside down or what perspective. It’s going to take a little getting used to. But a lot of detail went into this game. Why can’t more games be like that? Detailed not nauseating.

If one more god-damn person honks at me for not turning right on red, I swear I’m going to put my car in park, get out and go smack them in the head. For real, I don’t have to turn right on red. Isn’t that my right?
Mike and I exchanged christmas presents already, because two packages came in the mail yesterday and he could absolutely not wait to see what they were. He hadn’t even bought my present yet, so I told him if he bought me Super Mario Galaxy (with a $10 off coupon from Best buy), then he could open his presents. So now what do I have to look forward to on Christmas? Being with me family. Uh…no. Ah well. At least I got a new video game out of it. Although, as of now, I’m not letting myself play it until I at least finish Rogue Galaxy. Which is fun by the way…it’s just not keeping me all that interested.
I’ve discovered this new site called Alluc.org. It is pretty much just a collection of links to view online tv shows, movies, and cartoons. I’ve been addicted to watching Superman the animated series. I also got to watch the first few episodes of Conan the Adventurer. Do you remember that? Awesome.

Happy, happy holidays to everyone. I’m not doing a whole lot. To be honest, I skipped out of the visit to Indiana with the rest of my family. Not very festive of me I know.
You may have noticed the blog changes. (and if you visited in the past couple of days you probably saw a whole bunch of mess including sql errors everywhere or 404 pages popping up unexpectedly). That should be fixed for the most part. I’m not really sure what happened. But thank chebus I made a backup of the database or I would have been screwed. But anyhow I’m running the newest wordpress now and I have a new theme that I’m liking. I wanted something simple with subtle colors. The one I had before was a little too much.
I finally trashed that flickr plugin that I had been using and have migrated to Slickr. Hopefully this is going to work out better for me. For now you can click on the view gallery link here or over in the sidebar. Yeah I can’t figure out how to add it to the main menu (at least not with it working right). Yeah I’m a developer (somewhat) so I should be able to figure it out eventually, so don’t give me shit for the time being.

After reading all the random things Scott notices about people, i’ve really started noticing them myself. I guess I always have, it’s just brought more to my attention. I always thought that children acted like children, and teenagers acted like teenagers, but then miraculously we all became adults, and were logical and understanding and mature. Now I realize that we’re all still children. We all try to get each other in trouble. We all still form cliques. We still act like little immature bitches because our socks are itchy, or we have a monster zit, etc. I went to my doctor’s office to pick up the results from some bloodwork (titers for clinicals), and the receptionist asked if I had bothered to call in to have them ready. Luckily I did, but wtf? What if I didn’t? Why do you think I needed the blood-work done…? so the information could be lost in a computer somewhere? Of course I’m going to need the results. It’s all the moody bitches and dicks from the playground all over again. There will never be the final breath of, “I’ve reached the land of maturity.” …sad part is, if life wasn’t so crazy, and frustrating, and shocking, I think it’d be really boring.

Ya know how sometimes your boss will send out an email to everyone in the group with a *reminder* on how a certain process should be done. I always have to laugh, because the first thing I think is…I wonder who messed up. Heheh.
This morning I saw this woman power walking. Nothing unusual in itself. But she was wearing an all black track suit with white gloves. I’m sure she didn’t mean to look like a mime. That just struck me as funny.
Mike and I have been watching Heroes this season, and I just don’t get it. I’m just not feeling it like I did last season. I don’t know if I’m losing interest, or the storylines are too slow. I read this article with some comments from the creator Tim Kring…even he doesn’t like the show this season. ‘Heroes’ Creator Apologizes to Fans

I feel like kind of a dork…but I’m really excited about my new blackberry. I got the 8130 Pearl that was just released for Verizon (even though they’ve had it on the gsm side for almost a year now). I haven’t quite gotten used to it yet. It has a qwerty style to the keys, but it’s odd cause it is a 2 letter per button style. It’ll take some getting used to. It’s funny because I never realized how accustomed to the classic layout I was…
Well I got email/web, and I’m trying out the “tethering” as they call it - using it as a modem for your computer. Haven’t tried it yet. I have a month trial. I can’t imagine I’ll use it all that much.
The email is working pretty well. I like that. The web is little hard to read. I went to my blog and it looks pretty messy. I’m going to have to figure out how to make that a little more mobile-friendly.
