choke on that causality

I haven’t really been blogging as much as I used to. Not sure why. I’ve been really busy at work…and with the new puppy at home…I’m just exhausted.

I haven’t had time to think about those little things that I used to notice all the time throughout the average day…kinda sad. Maybe I still notice them….but my memory is completely shot.

My attention span has seemed a little off lately too. Mike will always be talking to me, but I don’t seem to comprehend the words that he is saying, and then I say “What?”, and he repeats himself…but I’m still not listening. It really pisses him off…but I don’t do it on purpose. I guess I’m just distracted a little too easily.

We reserved our plane tickets and hotel for our San Francisco vacation. I think it is going to be really fun. Now we just have to find people willing to take care of our many pets. My dad offered to take the dogs. Mike’s parents wouldn’t mind taking the pigs or the dogs either. The cats might be able to stay here if someone will come over every couple of days and check up.

It’s raining outside. Kinda depressing. And I guess it is supposed to snow tonight. I can’t wait until Spring. Although, I have no clue how to make our landscaping look all pretty. I could probably like clean up all the leaves and trim stuff…but that doesn’t sound like something I would ever want to actually do…So I think I’m going to have to break down and hire someone. Maybe they will be cute. I can dream.

Yesterday, I did go ahead and get myself a new puppy. He is the most beautiful little chocolate lab boy. His name is Sammy. I had to drive to the middle of nowhere to get him, and he threw up on me in the car on the way home…but it was all worth it. I love him.

Sammy and KC are getting along really well. In fact, right now there are snuggled on the couch together. Talula has been playing with him too. Makalu isn’t thrilled, but he’ll get over it.

Sammy doesn’t like his crate very much. He kept me up most of the night last night whining. But really if you see him you’d fall in love. I took him over to my parents today and he slept the entire time, and I even passed him around to everyone.

I’m in a really bad funk today, and I can’t seem to pull out of it. This morning, I was off of work, and I decided that I wanted Mike to call around looking for our new puppy that I want for my birthday. He made some calls, but nobody had quite the one we were looking for….but he refused to call anyone else after that, and we got into a big fight and he said he doesn’t want to get another dog now. What the fuck…

I’m destroyed at the moment. I know it seems silly. But I am.

Who wants to go get a green beer with me after work? Ya know, the green makes it taste better.

Today I dug out this really cute little green polo to be extra festive. Now that I’m at work, I’m realizing it is a little tighter than I first realized. Thank god for hoodies, right.
