This happened almost an entire month ago! Why isn’t America hearing about it?
Thank you Ellen for bringing attention to this important issue. My deepest condolences to the family and friends of this little boy. I just keep thinking…I find it admirable for a young boy to just be himself in a society that looks down on differences in sexual identity and orientation. When atrocities like this happen, it hurts on so many levels, for the loss of someone so young and also for that other little boy out there that might be scared to be himself tomorrow. Please give some thought to how you as parents portray your views to your children. Are you passing on intolerance that should long be dead? Please, teach acceptance!
So I’ve been working on this photo collage for a couple of weeks now. It’s pretty cool, it’s 3-d, and colorful, and fun…but dumbass me was putting the finishing touches on it the other day… I put a coat of clear polycrylic over it out in the garage…and instead of drying, it froze. Now it looks kinda strange. Like cloudy/crusty, but I refuse to give up on it. I will salvage it somehow.
I guess I haven’t had a whole lot going on as of late. I downloaded Visual Boy Advance, a Nintendo Game Boy Advance emulator, and have been playing Final Fantasy I&II: Dawn of Souls on it. I like it, because there is a ’speed’ button you can press that literally speeds up the emulation, so you can just fly though some of the more monotonous random encounters. I also learned how to use some of the built in cheat search functions to do some tweaking to my stats and inventory. Yeah some people think that takes the fun out of it…but do you know how many times I’ve played this game? Too many to count…so I’ll do whatever I want with this round. So don’t give me shit…
So what else? Oh I’m planning a vacation with our friends Gian and Anthony. We are planning to go to San Francisco in June. None of us have ever been there. So if you’ve been there, and know some good places, please comment. I’m pretty excited about it. We haven’t been on vacation since we went to Las Vegas in November 2006.
I’m so sick of the roller coaster of weather here lately. Monday it was 60 and sunny, but then it turned gray and rainy, and with the snow melting, good ol’ Findlay was flooding again… And if that’s not enough, then the temperature drops and we just get a bunch of sleet and ice and bullshit, bullshit, bullshit.
I would normally just hide in my house when the weather is all crappy like this, but my stubborn little puppy will not go potty in inclement weather. So I bundled up and took her out in the big girl yard…and nothing. It’s so frustrating sometimes. But I refuse to find a big steamer plopped right in the middle of the living room…so in her crate she went.
So today while I was using the restroom at work, someone actually answered their phone while in a stall. The funniest part about it though was they kept saying…”hello…..hello…..hello? is anybody there?” Like it’s bad enough that you are answering your phone mid-dump in a public restroom…but do you really want to talk to someone that bad that you use repeated hellos…crazy fucking people…I tell ya.
