choke on that causality

Now with paradox correcting time codes.

I’ve been using those crest white strips for the past few days. But I had to take a break after yesterday, because they make my teeth kinda hurt. They seem to be working though…that’s nice. I drink too much coffee and soda.

I finally upgraded to the latest and greatest version of Wordpress. I’m not really used to the admin changes yet. And is it just me or does the widget drag-n-drop controls seem buggy. It was awkward trying to reorder stuff in my sidebar. And I can’t seem to find any themes that I like. And the ones that I think are ok don’t support widgets. I know like 95% of my readers have no idea what I’m talking about…ah well.

So Sammy is getting huge! He’s also getting much better at holding his wee. He almost always makes it through the night without wetting in his crate. And he’d kinda funny. I take him out and he seems to go potty on command. While he’s squatting to pee he turns his head back to me…like, “you gettin my treat ready???” I love that puppy. Him and KC are always fighting though. It’s really annoying. KC gets so upset when he has any toy, and she makes a bunch of funny snarly noises. I’m hoping that as we can trust Sammy more and more in the house…that the extra time together will help them calm down. That’s what I’m hoping anyhow.

I feel like kind of a dork…but I’m really excited about my new blackberry. I got the 8130 Pearl that was just released for Verizon (even though they’ve had it on the gsm side for almost a year now). I haven’t quite gotten used to it yet. It has a qwerty style to the keys, but it’s odd cause it is a 2 letter per button style. It’ll take some getting used to. It’s funny because I never realized how accustomed to the classic layout I was…

Well I got email/web, and I’m trying out the “tethering” as they call it - using it as a modem for your computer. Haven’t tried it yet. I have a month trial. I can’t imagine I’ll use it all that much.

The email is working pretty well. I like that. The web is little hard to read. I went to my blog and it looks pretty messy. I’m going to have to figure out how to make that a little more mobile-friendly.

I was in training all last week learning SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). For anyone who cares, that is a ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) tool used to move data around in databases/flat files/excel and in building data warehouses. I think that it’ll be useful for some projects I’ll be working on in the near future. SSIS is still a bit quirky in my opinion though. The syntax of the expressions doesn’t seem to match SQL or VB. So it makes it somewhat confusing when you are constantly going in an out of sql and vb and then back to SSIS style expressions. Another thing that annoyed me was the lack of support for C# for script tasks. It’s been awhile since I’ve developed using VB so I was a bit rusty trying to do some of the labs that required scripting.
