Yesterday I saw someone at work who still had the size sticker on their brand new pair of pants. Hilarious. I didn’t know him though…so I just stared and laughed instead of telling him.
At work when people are Out of the Office for one reason or another, we send all day free meeting notices to each other so other people know you will gone. I just think it is funny cause I always used to just get ones with the subject “OOO”. Don’t know why that has always struck me as funny. I often get ones for “Therapy”. What is the first think you think of when you see that word…I know it is physical therapy…but I always picture a shrink.
So I have a poison ivy rash on my knees and arms from weeding and mulching the other day I assume. It sucks. An no, it isn’t contagious like a lot of people think. You only get it where the plant oil touched your skin. The oil is long gone now…I’m just itchy.

Today I had the worst headache imaginable. Like it was so bad…I started to feel all woozy and weird like I might vomit at any moment… I came home early from work and just slept for like 3 hours. It was nice.
Now I feel a little strange…but much much better. Although my dogs are driving me insane. Like I can give them each a big bone, but they choose one to fight over. They are outside right now, and Sammy keeps running up against the glass door…I think he realized he can’t just walk through it…I guess he is just trying to get my attention or something. Like, “Let me in!”. Uh not if they are going to act like that…besides it is a pretty nice day. They can stay outside while I recover from my migraine.
I remember at my old job I used to kinda make fun of people who would go home sick from ‘migraines’. But now I realize it is a little more serious than that. Like when that shit happens, you can’t function normally…so I figure you might as well go home sick. The sooner you do that…the sooner you’ll be back to 100%.

Ifeel so useless today. Last night I jammed my finger really bad, and it started to hurt like hell today, and got all fat, swollen, and discolored, so now I have on one of those fashionable finger splints on. It makes it pretty difficult to type.
And Mike has to work tonight so I get to take care of four dogs by myself. Yeah, I’m taking care of some friends dogs for the weekend. Two really cute beagles. I like them a lot…But with my finger all fucked up I guess taking them for a walk is kinda not a good option. I need to just find some puppy drugs for everyone so they just snuggle and sleep and keep me company on the couch while I’m busy feeling sorry for myself and my poor finger.
Well I hope everyone reading this has a good weekend!

Check out the following article. I’m not really for or against Wal-Mart, but the health clinic market does have some interesting implications. Some good. Some not so good.

I’ve been doing yoga and pilates again lately. I’ve also been doing some of the random exercise on demand routines. I never realized that those were even there until my friend Ashley mentioned it. It’s kinda cool cause a lot of them are only ten minutes so you can do them real quick in the morning or whatever. So don’t ever let anyone tell you that yoga and pilates are for wusses…that shit is hard. I can only do about 25 minutes of yoga before I want to just lay down.
I’ve been doing pretty good. I’m proud of myself. Now I’m looking forward to the warmer weather, and I’d like to start jogging again. Heheh. I say that like I did it so often before. Truth is we did it like maybe 10 times, and it fucked up my knees…so I could barely walk without making old man type noises.
Oh and tennis. I’m looking forward to that too. I really really suck at it, but I love it for some reason. If you like tennis, please look me up come summer
So why do people diet and exercise anyhow? I know that most people say that they want to be healthy, or it gives them energy, or my favorite excuse is wanting to fit into my clothes again…although that was true at the time. Now I think I just got a taste of those sexy defined lines you get around your hips. Yeah I like that. Don’t get me wrong. I probably saw that definition at a strange angle in awkward lighting, and a magnifying glass….but that’s not the point. It’s that they are there…and now I have something to work for.
Wow I managed to turn a nice health related post into a rather egotistical one. Ah well. If you don’t like it then you can just bite me.

I guess that the FDA recently approved the sale of meat from cloned animals in the United States. Check out the following article.
Your Steak — Medium, Rare or Cloned? - TIME
Although I found the “ick” factor somewhat amusing, I don’t really understand what the big deal is…
To me it is just another piece of meat. A collection of proteins or whatever. It sounds like the ultimate goal is to make meat of a higher quality faster. So I don’t understand what’s wrong with that.
Do people think if they eat it they are going to turn into some sort of genetic mutant? Or is it just the slippery slope? Pretty soon the government will start cloning us all against our will…and we’ll completely lose our identities as individuals…
I don’t know. I just don’t see the big ethical dilemma here. Someone explain the problem to me on a level I can understand. And don’t tell me it’s just not in God’s plan, or it’s blasphemous and/or I’m going to hell.
