They make is sound like Ohio is purposely trying to put payday lenders out of business, and take away the rights of people. No. Payday lenders have every right to stay in the business, they just have to follow the rules and regulations set forth by the state of Ohio, which says that the maximum annual interest rate for loans be 28% (not the 391% payday lending loans currently charge).

Please, vote YES on this ballot issue (House Bill 545) in November! And if you’ve signed a petition to repeal under false pretenses, please have your name removed by contacting Ohioans for Financial Freedom at 614-477-5042.

I’m so sick of cold weather. It’s freaking April already. This shit needs to stop. I suppose it could be worse; there could be snow…

I get to take both Sammy and Makalu to the vet today. That car ride should be fun…since they love each other so much.

My damn computer crashed today and it took seriously like 20 minutes for me to get it started back up, and everything in order like I had it. Ah speaking of everything in order…there is nifty little program that I like to use to help me organize all the windows I use. It’s called Taskbar Shuffle, and it is free! Go ahead and download it. It really kinda makes you wonder why that functionality isn’t already included in Windows…

So I get my big work bonus this week. I’d be more excited about it…if I didn’t know that I’ve already spent it in one way or another…Or at least a lot of it, the rest I figure I will try to save until our big San Francisco trip in June. But ya know I do have a weakness for the Gap and Banana Republic…so I might have to buy myself a few things. Damn Luxe Card…it sucks me in with all it’s free shipping and rewards.

• Replace our kitchen appliances.
• Eeepc…this is only $400 though
• Gym membership…by the time we’re done being screwed out of any discounts because we are a gay couple…it’d be almost 900 bucks for the year…
• Vacation - not sure where. could go expensive, Hawaii. Cheaper Florida. As long as it’s warm, and I can lay in the sun somewhere, I’d be happy.
• Have to include the obligatory…pay off some debt. But who wants to do that?
• A friend told me to put the funds toward the principal on my house. Screw that. Like that’d make a dent in my mortgage.

I’ve noticed that when I let my puppy KC out to use the potty, she can only do one of either pee or poo, and then she needs to come inside for a break, before she can go out again a few minutes later and do the other…I know my sister’s dog Tinkerbell is like that too. Kinda funny, like it’s such hard work.

So I filed my taxes last night. I know that makes me a huge dork, considering the earliness of it, but I was anxious to get all the money. This is the first year we owned a house, granted for only half the year, but it still made a huge difference to my refund…

Not sure what to do with the money yet. Would love to plan a vacation, but we might end up doing something a little more practical like pay off some bills. Stupid bills…Always ruining my fun. Or we could buy something for the house…I know I’d like to replace a certain ugly couch that’s only purpose seems to be collecting pet hair.

So our electric bill doubled this month. We have electric heat in our house, but I wasn’t expecting such a jump compared to running the a/c all summer…And we usually leave the thermostat at 68…so I’m going to have to do a little more investigating…I hope nothing is wrong, cause ya know…I sure as hell don’t know how to fix anything.

This month I got a ginormous cable bill. What the hell, right. I know I paid it last month. Well it turns out I paid the bill..but to the wrong account through my bank’s bill paying system. Woops. I had to call and sound all stupid…Uh yeah I accidentally paid you for an account I closed 2 months ago. Now I have to wait for them to send me a refund check. Wonderful.

Mike and I actually unpacked a couple of boxes last night! Well I’m not sure if it counts since we pretty much just put stuff in a different box. But at least we sorted through the stuff and decided what can stay in storage and what we will eventually want to put somewhere…we just don’t know where yet. So it’s an accomplishment after all.

I also finally finished painting the shelfs and cabinets in the bathroom. It took forever, but I wanted them just right. Hopefully I can post some pics of the finished bathroom soon. I think it turned out pretty good. Blue/Khaki/Brown kinda theme.

Yesterday I somehow overslept and was like 2 hours late for work. woops. No one noticed, but I swear to chebus I will never let that happen again. Today I had two alarms going off, and I got up right away at 6am. Ok maybe I hit the snooze once….

So I really would like to take a vacation. But it will be pretty damn near impossible, since Mike and I will never be able to get coinciding time off, especially with his school starting back up next week. And flights are crazy expensive over the holiday time. I don’t know how we were able to swing Vegas over Thanksgiving last year. At least that was before we had Makalu and KC, but we still had to haul all the other pets to Mike’s parents in the Cleveland area. I cannot imagine loading up all of the pets now and expecting Mike’s parents to take care of all of them! It’s sad to say…but I really don’t trust anyone to take care of our pets except Mike’s parents. One time I asked my mom to feed our fish while were gone, and she just didn’t do it. And then when I asked her why she didn’t come over, she was all like…how did you know?. Uh because I taped a big note over the aquarium lid and set the food up there that you would have had to move to feed them….and it was still in the same place. Geez. You don’t have to be Sherlock Holmes. So yeah. Wouldn’t trust my parents with the pets.
