choke on that causality

Now with paradox correcting time codes.

It seems like I’ve watched a bunch of movies lately.

One Missed Call
Sort of Ring-esque sort of movie with annoying college kids. They get voice mails from the future where they can hear their own death. The creepiest part of the whole movie was this scene where there is this little ghost baby with a cell phone…I know that sounds silly…but it really creeped me out. You have to watch it just for that part. 2 out of 5 stars

Alien vs. Predator: Requiem
I liked this movie better than the first one. My big annoyance with this movie though, was the fact that it was so dark…it was really hard to see what was going on. Kind of a waste of all the cool special effects when you are struggling to even see them.

27 Dresses
This movie now that I think about it, didn’t really have a great plot and wasn’t written all that great. But Katherine Heigl made it worth watching. I think she took all the bland dialog and made it cute and quirky. It’s worth a see if you’re bored.

Sex and the City
I laughed a bunch. I almost cried at points. It was a very, very good movie. It seemed like it was all so relevant to my own life too. But overall it was just good seeing all the girls back together again. Definitely go see this one.

We are on our way back from shopping in Toledo. I really wish it had been as nice this weekend as it had been on Friday. I’m very ready for summer. I took Friday afternoon off and just laid out in the sun and got all pink and crispy.

Shopping is exhausting. I start to get really annoyed when five different people ask me if I need any help finding anything. It’s obnoxious. Not as bad as best buy, but still bad. We totally had to stop at the Irish pub and I downed a beer… That made me sleepy and hungry though.

I got some cute clothes though. All for work pretty much.

I was so bored last night I watched this movie on showtime called material girls with the duff sisters. Wow it was even worse than you would imagine. I don’t recommend it. Then I watched the zodiac…which I thought was the one with Jake gyllenhaal. No the ‘the’ really made all the difference. I don’t recommend it either.

I had a pretty uneventful weekend. Besides all the playing of video games, and watching of television, I got out of the house long enough to take puppy for a walk each day. We met the neighbor’s new little puppy. It’s a tiny little black Yorkie/Bichon mix pup. Cutest little thing. I feel bad though because KC barks when anything comes near her yard…so it can’t help with the poor little pup’s nerves….especially while potty training.

I watched the movie “Resident Evil: Extinction” yesterday. Not a complete waste of two hours. I actually liked it. It wasn’t great…but it was entertaining. You’d think with a title like “Extinction” though that it was have more closure. Seems like there could be a fourth…”Resident Evil: Clone Wars”…anyone?

Why do people just keep giving me more reasons to not want to talk to them? Sometimes shortly after I initiate a conversation with someone, I thoroughly regret it. Ever notice how difficult it is to stop that conversation? You edge your way out of their office ever so slightly, but then they stand up and continue to babble on about god knows what… Then worse you get followed out into the hallway, or they say, oh I’ll walk with you….It’s like a nightmare that never ends. And then when you finally have to come up with some lame excuse to go…you’re the asshole. Whatever.

Futurama movieThe Futurama movie is now available for pre-order though Amazon.com. Can’t wait. It should also air on Comedy Central next year, split into 3 episodes.

Here is a description from Wikipedia:

The Planet Express crew fights to save the world from nudist alien internet scammers, who send Bender back into the past to steal the world’s greatest treasures. The secret to time travel is tatooed on Fry’s buttocks, Leela finds true love, and Fry learns a terrible secret about his destiny and his buttocks.

Having a bad morning. Of course, I was running late, and I spilled my coffee all over the counter. And I was trying to scrounge all my bills together cause I got paid today, and I was going to bring them with me to work to pay over lunch…why the hell can’t I just keep all my bill in one place. Some are on the computer desk. Some on the kitchen table. A couple on the living room coffee table…Ugh. And then I couldn’t find the god damn water bill. I remember opening it. I at one point held it in my hands…but for the life of me, I could not find it this morning. My puppy probably ate it.

Speaking of puppy…I posted some new pictures on flickr. Some real cute ones of KC and Makalu. They are both getting big. We probably feed them too much.

I saw the Simpsons movie last night. I liked it. There were some really funny parts. I can’t help but say, though, I was hoping for a bit more out of it. But you should definitely see it. If just for the Homer’s obsession with that pig!

RemyPeytonYesterday Mike and I watched Ratatouille, and I have to say it was a great movie! The main character Remy reminds me so much of my pet rat Peyton. Do you see the resemblance? I just hope this movie makes people have a higher opinion of rats. They are wonderful pets!

Mike was recently accepted into the nursing program for Spring 2008. That is great news! He’s pretty much taken all of the other required courses, he just needs to start the clinical courses…and he finally can now…well, beginning in 2008 :-) That isn’t too far away.

I’m sick of bitching constantly that all of my clothes are too tight, and I really don’t want to buy a new wardrobe. So as of today, I’m going on the South Beach Diet. I did it once before and I lost a bunch of weight and I just remember feeling good about myself. So I guess it’s a lot of lean meats, eggs, and veggies for me for awhile…I can handle it.

I like to browse those deal-a-day offers like Woot and Amazon Gold Box. Well the other day I saw that they had 1000-count Grand Sheet sets for sale at Amazon Gold Box normally 499.99 for only 39.99. I bought a set and they arrived yesterday. They are pretty damn nice. I’m not really sure what makes them “Grand” but I like them.
