Yesterday Mike and I watched Ratatouille, and I have to say it was a great movie! The main character Remy reminds me so much of my pet rat Peyton. Do you see the resemblance? I just hope this movie makes people have a higher opinion of rats. They are wonderful pets!
Mike was recently accepted into the nursing program for Spring 2008. That is great news! He’s pretty much taken all of the other required courses, he just needs to start the clinical courses…and he finally can now…well, beginning in 2008
That isn’t too far away.
I’m sick of bitching constantly that all of my clothes are too tight, and I really don’t want to buy a new wardrobe. So as of today, I’m going on the South Beach Diet. I did it once before and I lost a bunch of weight and I just remember feeling good about myself. So I guess it’s a lot of lean meats, eggs, and veggies for me for awhile…I can handle it.
I like to browse those deal-a-day offers like Woot and Amazon Gold Box. Well the other day I saw that they had 1000-count Grand Sheet sets for sale at Amazon Gold Box normally 499.99 for only 39.99. I bought a set and they arrived yesterday. They are pretty damn nice. I’m not really sure what makes them “Grand” but I like them.

So I have absolutely no desire to see this Transformers movie. I’m not sure why..I guess it just seems too cheesy even for my taste. I don’t know I guess I’m thinking about like My Little Pony or Care Bears…think about a live action of one of those…don’t think it’d be as mainstream…I just think that America is somewhat abused with this hyped up action explosion…straight guy bullshit movies…whatever.
This morning I was petting Makalu and I got a whiff of something stinky. He had a big chunk of poo stuck in his tail. Gross. And of course, Mike wouldn’t get out of bed to help me….but I successfully bathed him by myself. He really is a good kitty. I remember one cat I had growing up would fucking claw the shit out of you when you tried to give him a bath. Makalu just sits there and give me this look like…did I do something wrong? Poor little guy…now he looks all funny.

Last night I watched “Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters”. I found it incredibly funny for not making any sense whatsoever. You keep thinking you are going to learn the origin story and other cool little tidbits…like what the fuck that jewel on the back of Frylock is for…(perhaps just a fancy vcr cover?)…but nothing is really explained…and that’s part of what makes it so funny.
Today I was starting things off right, and I just had a salad for lunch. And a coworker brought in ice cream bars for a birthday treat. Foiled again. Foyled? Foyeled? Those all look weird. But yeah it’s absolutely wonderfully delicious…like it is ice cream covered in chocolate with those little krispies in it. I don’t even really know what those little krispies are but I love them. Yum.
Last night Mike and I visited a gas station convenience store because we wanted to pick up some soda real quick…and the only parking is in the back. But apparently they lock the back doors at 10pm. Wtf…so you have to walk around the whole building. I’ll tell ya what…That convenient store isn’t very convenient. So what did Mike do? He drove to the front and parked at one of pumps. No, we didn’t get gas. He was naughty.
We’ve been trying to be more eco-friendly greeny people so we bought these energy efficent CFL bulbs for our home. Most of them seem to work fine…except the round ones I bought for the bathroom vanity. They take forever to get bright. Like you can almost start to see after you are done peeing.
Ok I have just one more random thing I wanted to blog about. If you think it’s cute/appropriate/acceptable/whatever to listen to your voicemail on speakerphone at work…then I wish horrible itchy toe fungus on you…ok. you fucking suck. I hate you.

I wrote a blog post yesterday at work, but I must have forgot to post it. I hate it when I do that. I like to write my posts in notepad usually before I paste it into my blog. Maybe I need to start using some sort of client blogging software. Ah well. It is probably still up on my computer at work. I’ll post it on Monday…when it is probably lost all relevance.
I hate weekend television. I swear to god it’s only Saturday morning, but I’ve already watched E! News 3 times! Is there nothing else on? I enjoy watching cartoons on Saturday morning….like the ones on the CW: Legion of Superheroes, The Batman, Loonatics Unleashed. But they are all reruns all the time. It sucks. And when the hell is Heroes coming back? By the time it starts back up, I’m going to have completely forgotten what was going on. In fact, I already have. But I like that show. I’ve been told I will like that Battlestar Galactica show. So I’ve added it to my Netflix queue. Although that doesn’t help unless I actually send back the dusty dvds back that I have here at home. I would consider copying them, but I’m too lazy to figure out how to. Hehe. That makes me think of pirated movies and mp3s off the internet. Make it the least bit inconvenient for me, and I’ll stop doing it.
Anyway I said I DON’T do any of that. So don’t sue me.
I wear gel deodorant. Does anyone else? I know I’m a freak because I’ve been told that most people think it is like cold and slimy and just plain weird. But it’s really the only kind of deodorant that doesn’t leave those white stains on my shirts. I would be absolutely mortified if I was caught with that shit on my clothes. For those of you who do use it though, perhaps you can share in my annoyance that you can never seem to get that last bit of gel out of the damn thing. Like seriously, there will be like a centimeter of gel left, but the damn thing will stop clicking up. WTF. I will like put the cap on and just beat the shit out of to get all I can out of it. I will not stand for the conspiracy. I’ll cut that shit out with a knife if I have to.
It’s funny that in a few paragraphs I managed to completely contradict my personality. I’m lazy yet a little bit obsessive compulsive.

Alright. I’ve been back at work for about a half hour, and I’m already incredibly annoyed. Not at my job, but the stupid chat I have to listen to. I’m finding it difficult to concentrate when I hear the ramblings down the hall. I get it. You got a new macbook. You think your cool, and you want to talk about it all god damn day. Shut up.
I really need to get an mp3 player so I can drown out all the annoyances. I’ve recently discovered last.fm. You can just type in a random artist like hellogoodbye or death cab for cutie and they start playing music that is similar. I like it.
I read that Cate Blanchett has signed on to appear in the next Indiana Jones movie. I really like her, so I think it’s a great addition. Although, I still don’t know how I feel about a 64 year old Indiana? We’ll see.
So my damn cat won’t stop biting me. I love Makalu, but he just doesn’t get that my hands/arms/legs/feet are not toys. Sometimes it really hurts. I read on the internet that when he bites, you should grab him by the scruff of the neck, and push him down for a few seconds and say NO!…and the vet said to shove a toy in his mouth. I’ve tried both but he still attacks me and Mike. Does anyone have any suggestions? I’m sick of all the scratches all over my hands.

This movie is about a couple of average people played by Luke Wilson who is in the military and just sits around and watches tv all day. Also Maya Rudolph from SNL is in it. She plays a hooker that has agreed to also undergo this procedure along with him to test if they can successfully hibernate people. It was only supposed to last for a year, but something went wrong and they wake up 500 years later. But the world is full of a bunch of morons, because they kept breeding and the smart people didn’t. It is a really funny take on evolution and what could happen. Definitely worth a watch. Maya is hilarious. 3.5 out of 5 stars.
I’ve decided to start using .5 in my ratings
