choke on that causality

I’ve been using those crest white strips for the past few days. But I had to take a break after yesterday, because they make my teeth kinda hurt. They seem to be working though…that’s nice. I drink too much coffee and soda.

I finally upgraded to the latest and greatest version of Wordpress. I’m not really used to the admin changes yet. And is it just me or does the widget drag-n-drop controls seem buggy. It was awkward trying to reorder stuff in my sidebar. And I can’t seem to find any themes that I like. And the ones that I think are ok don’t support widgets. I know like 95% of my readers have no idea what I’m talking about…ah well.

So Sammy is getting huge! He’s also getting much better at holding his wee. He almost always makes it through the night without wetting in his crate. And he’d kinda funny. I take him out and he seems to go potty on command. While he’s squatting to pee he turns his head back to me…like, “you gettin my treat ready???” I love that puppy. Him and KC are always fighting though. It’s really annoying. KC gets so upset when he has any toy, and she makes a bunch of funny snarly noises. I’m hoping that as we can trust Sammy more and more in the house…that the extra time together will help them calm down. That’s what I’m hoping anyhow.

The dogs are driving me crazy. Love em and all…but I don’t understand how they can have so much energy. We went for a long walk and played outside forever…Then I had to give them a bath because they stank. And now they just decided to roll around in the dirt to get all the clean off of them. Damn them. I feel like I’m getting eaten alive by mosquitoes (hmm..I didn’t realize there was an ‘e’ in there like potatoes), but i haven’t caught one on me yet. Perhaps I’m just paranoid.

I love having a deck where I can sit outside. (It’d be nicer if Mike would help me get all the patio furniture out :-\) It is beautiful out tonight. I have no desire to sit inside and watch tv. Although it is kinda lonely by myself. I suppose the dogs are here…and the cats sit and stare out the screen door and sniff the air and listen to the birds overhead. It’s so nice having a quiet neighborhood, and I don’t go in my back yard to see some shirtless old guy in the alley fixing televisions and yelling at “Angel, Shut up!” at his dog every few minutes. Although…been there with k.c… the shut up part…not the fixing tvs shirtless part. Ugh could you picture it?

It is a beautiful day. And I’m soaking up some sun with 4 beautiful puppies out on the deck. For as much work as it was, I’m not going to want to give these beagles up when their dads come to get them tonight.

So my bday is coming up in a couple days… It’s hard to believe I’m going to be 28 years old. Actually, no it really isn’t. It just kinda stops mattering after 25.

Ifeel so useless today. Last night I jammed my finger really bad, and it started to hurt like hell today, and got all fat, swollen, and discolored, so now I have on one of those fashionable finger splints on. It makes it pretty difficult to type.

And Mike has to work tonight so I get to take care of four dogs by myself. Yeah, I’m taking care of some friends dogs for the weekend. Two really cute beagles. I like them a lot…But with my finger all fucked up I guess taking them for a walk is kinda not a good option. I need to just find some puppy drugs for everyone so they just snuggle and sleep and keep me company on the couch while I’m busy feeling sorry for myself and my poor finger.

I’m so sick of cold weather. It’s freaking April already. This shit needs to stop. I suppose it could be worse; there could be snow…

I get to take both Sammy and Makalu to the vet today. That car ride should be fun…since they love each other so much.

My damn computer crashed today and it took seriously like 20 minutes for me to get it started back up, and everything in order like I had it. Ah speaking of everything in order…there is nifty little program that I like to use to help me organize all the windows I use. It’s called Taskbar Shuffle, and it is free! Go ahead and download it. It really kinda makes you wonder why that functionality isn’t already included in Windows…

So I get my big work bonus this week. I’d be more excited about it…if I didn’t know that I’ve already spent it in one way or another…Or at least a lot of it, the rest I figure I will try to save until our big San Francisco trip in June. But ya know I do have a weakness for the Gap and Banana Republic…so I might have to buy myself a few things. Damn Luxe Card…it sucks me in with all it’s free shipping and rewards.

Yesterday, I did go ahead and get myself a new puppy. He is the most beautiful little chocolate lab boy. His name is Sammy. I had to drive to the middle of nowhere to get him, and he threw up on me in the car on the way home…but it was all worth it. I love him.

Sammy and KC are getting along really well. In fact, right now there are snuggled on the couch together. Talula has been playing with him too. Makalu isn’t thrilled, but he’ll get over it.

Sammy doesn’t like his crate very much. He kept me up most of the night last night whining. But really if you see him you’d fall in love. I took him over to my parents today and he slept the entire time, and I even passed him around to everyone.
