This is my first attempt at blogging via blackberry. It’s not quite as difficult as I thought it would be.
The weekend has been pretty uneventful. My poor kitten somehow got ringworm. She’s isolated from the other pets at the moment. I have to put stuff on her bad spots a couple times a day. She also has to take some oral meds, but I can’t get it from the pharmacy until monday. I hope none of the other pets get it. Or worse mike or I.
So today it’s been a lot of washing clothes and cleaning. I did go to walmart today and it was crazy. I wanted to punch people. Why don’t people have the least consideration for others?

So you know what was wrong with our Air Conditioning? There was a dead crusted bug stuck to the elecrical connection. He scaped that off and it seems to be working ok now. Even though it has now been cold, and we haven’t really needed it the past few days. But hey 85 dollars later…
The other day I was at Walmart digging through bags of lettuce to try and find a good one for the pigs. So I was down on my knees digging way in the back looking at all the dates and what not…Well some lady stopped me and started asking me about where she might find something about apples… and I just stared at her with a blank look…”uh….” And then she was like, “oh, you don’t work here.” Omg. Do I look like I work at Walmart? How embarassing for me. And I had just come from work so I was wearing like Khakis and a striped button down shirt. I didn’t think I looked like I worked at Walmart. Give me a complex why don’t ya.
What is with the staff at Walmart lately. They used to wear those blue vests so everyone was incredibly identifiable. Now they just wear khakis and a blue polo, so it’s not as easy to pick someone out. Not that I ever need much help when I’m shopping at Walmart…but if I did want it…it is now slightly more difficult to locate someone.

There should be rules for using the self-checkout lane. I’ve probably went off about this before…but seriously.
Rule #1: Credit/Debit only. - I’m sick of stupid people counting out all of their change in nickels and putting them in the machine.
Rule #2: Express lane #of items applies - I don’t want to see someone with a whole grocery cart full of shit at the self checkout. Come on. What are you thinking?
Rule #3: No produce (or anything that needs weighed for that matter) If you’ve got produce, you better know the god-damn code to punch in and not sit there for an hour scrolling through the produce index to find the code for your god damn kiwi.
Rule #4: Form one line and one line only for a set of machines. 4 machines 2 on each side. Don’t make me pick a side asshole cause I’m going to the first one available.
Rule #5: No alcohol or Tobacco. You are going to get carded you idiot. The machine can’t do it.

The Futurama movie is now available for pre-order though Amazon.com. Can’t wait. It should also air on Comedy Central next year, split into 3 episodes.
Here is a description from Wikipedia:
The Planet Express crew fights to save the world from nudist alien internet scammers, who send Bender back into the past to steal the world’s greatest treasures. The secret to time travel is tatooed on Fry’s buttocks, Leela finds true love, and Fry learns a terrible secret about his destiny and his buttocks.

There is a woot-off going on today. To anyone who doesn’t know what woot is…it is the greatest deal a day site ever! It has way cheap new or refurbished cool stuff (most of the time).
Here is how it works. There is one item for sale during the day. It is available until it either sells out (which happens a lot actually) or the day ends (at 12 pm central time - yeah central time for idiots like me who keep refreshing a bunch of times at 12pm eastern…and nothing happens.) Anyhow, the deals are pretty good, but the site in general is just cool. They have a whole community…a lot of the product details are pretty funny, and I just like the honesty of it all.
A woot-off is a special event where when an item sells out, they immediately post a new one…it usually lasts a day or two. It’s really fun for those geeky people who have no life like me
Anyhow…check it out. You have nothing to lose.

Yesterday Mike and I watched Ratatouille, and I have to say it was a great movie! The main character Remy reminds me so much of my pet rat Peyton. Do you see the resemblance? I just hope this movie makes people have a higher opinion of rats. They are wonderful pets!
Mike was recently accepted into the nursing program for Spring 2008. That is great news! He’s pretty much taken all of the other required courses, he just needs to start the clinical courses…and he finally can now…well, beginning in 2008
That isn’t too far away.
I’m sick of bitching constantly that all of my clothes are too tight, and I really don’t want to buy a new wardrobe. So as of today, I’m going on the South Beach Diet. I did it once before and I lost a bunch of weight and I just remember feeling good about myself. So I guess it’s a lot of lean meats, eggs, and veggies for me for awhile…I can handle it.
I like to browse those deal-a-day offers like Woot and Amazon Gold Box. Well the other day I saw that they had 1000-count Grand Sheet sets for sale at Amazon Gold Box normally 499.99 for only 39.99. I bought a set and they arrived yesterday. They are pretty damn nice. I’m not really sure what makes them “Grand” but I like them.
