I was sick yesterday, so I stayed home and slept most of the day. I did receive my copy of the brand new Futurama dvd, Bender’s Big Score though. I just have to say it was freakin awesome! I loved it. I can’t wait to watch it again with Mike. I don’t know if he’ll be able to appreciate it quite as much as me….but I bet he’ll still like it.
I also played the new Super Mario Galaxy game. Woah. Probably not a good game to play when you aren’t feeling well. Don’t get me wrong. It is super fun. I’m sure I will like it a lot. But it made me feel kinda dizzy and a little naseous from the odd planet curvature am I upside down or what perspective. It’s going to take a little getting used to. But a lot of detail went into this game. Why can’t more games be like that? Detailed not nauseating.

We are all approved for a loan for our new house that we haven’t found yet
I should be really happy, but big stuff like this always seem to just make me nervous and irritable. I’ve been eating cookies like mad for some reason. At least I have a good video game to occupy much of my time.
I got Super Paper Mario for my birthday and it is incredibly fun. I really like the humor in it too. Like there is this character that is supposed to be a huge tech-geek, and some of the things he says were just so funny and true. You get to play as Peach and Bowser too so it is cool. It’s kinda rpg style kinda not. Like you have Health Points and attack/defense points that increase as you get points, and you can buy items with coins and stuff. But it isn’t turn based fighting which I really like. It makes it feel more like a class Mario game.
I do have a couple of small complaints. Although it is super fun to switch from 2d to 3d, it is awkward trying to move around. Maybe my depth perception is just bad. I dunno. Plus even though you are 3d, you can’t change the camera angle so if you try to walk backwards you might accidentally fall off of a cliff. woops.
Also there are things called cool moves or special moves or something like that you can perform after an attack to gain extra points. So if you jump on an enemy, right after you can shake the controller to perform a move. It just feels like an awkward transition to me to start shaking the controller…so i just don’t do it too often. So I’m totally losing out on points and probably not gaining levels as much as I should. Ah well.
Also I like the variety of items but it is just kind of a pain to open up the menu and use them, so I just don’t do it. Also, you can’t carry very much stuff which is annoying.
All things considered this is probably the best game for the Wii right now. You should definitely check it out.

During our weekly Walmart trip I noticed that they have all the Easter stuff out. Mike kept trying to sneak candies into the cart. I said he could have some Peeps and that was it. Heheh. Nobody wants Peeps.
I downloaded my first Virtual Console game on my Wii - Super Mario World. It’s dangerous that you can buy stuff so easily with your credit card. I have that cute little class controller so I figured I’d finally get something to play. Oh nostalgia.
Added a new stuffed animal to my collection (Big-Footed Bear Rhinocerton) as well as a couple of new Littlest Pet shop guys - a sheep and a Lop bunny. Very cute. I know I’m such a child.
The Academy awards are on tonight. Since everything else is re-running tonight, I guess we will probably be watching that. I don’t have any strong feelings about any particular person or movie winning anything. I enjoyed Little Miss Sunshine, but I doubt that will win.
I’ve been watching the E! pre-show. “You clean up nicely” is not such a great compliment, Mr. Ryan Seacrest. “Who are you wearing?” is such an odd question isn’t it. Jennifer Hudson is wearing this hideous gold jacket thing. yuck.
I’ve been seeing a lot of Windows Vista commercials. I want it…but like on a play computer, where I don’t have to worry about anything critical being able to actually run. Isn’t that sad? That I’m only prepared to use Windows Vista in a test environment.

Another wii related accident. I didn’t think it was possible to die from drinking too much water. Kinda scary.
