Today I had the worst headache imaginable. Like it was so bad…I started to feel all woozy and weird like I might vomit at any moment… I came home early from work and just slept for like 3 hours. It was nice.
Now I feel a little strange…but much much better. Although my dogs are driving me insane. Like I can give them each a big bone, but they choose one to fight over. They are outside right now, and Sammy keeps running up against the glass door…I think he realized he can’t just walk through it…I guess he is just trying to get my attention or something. Like, “Let me in!”. Uh not if they are going to act like that…besides it is a pretty nice day. They can stay outside while I recover from my migraine.
I remember at my old job I used to kinda make fun of people who would go home sick from ‘migraines’. But now I realize it is a little more serious than that. Like when that shit happens, you can’t function normally…so I figure you might as well go home sick. The sooner you do that…the sooner you’ll be back to 100%.
I’m so sick of the roller coaster of weather here lately. Monday it was 60 and sunny, but then it turned gray and rainy, and with the snow melting, good ol’ Findlay was flooding again… And if that’s not enough, then the temperature drops and we just get a bunch of sleet and ice and bullshit, bullshit, bullshit.
I would normally just hide in my house when the weather is all crappy like this, but my stubborn little puppy will not go potty in inclement weather. So I bundled up and took her out in the big girl yard…and nothing. It’s so frustrating sometimes. But I refuse to find a big steamer plopped right in the middle of the living room…so in her crate she went.
So today while I was using the restroom at work, someone actually answered their phone while in a stall. The funniest part about it though was they kept saying…”hello…..hello…..hello? is anybody there?” Like it’s bad enough that you are answering your phone mid-dump in a public restroom…but do you really want to talk to someone that bad that you use repeated hellos…crazy fucking people…I tell ya.
I don’t like how Internet Explorer calls your saved links “Favorites”. Kinda puts the wrong connotation on it in a lot of cases…especially your “favorites” at work. Not particularly my favorite sites to visit. Especially that fun IT Governance system at the top of my “favorites”.
Today I had my performance review for 2007, and I was incredibly nervous about it, but it turned out to go pretty well. I noted some statements in the written review that didn’t sit too well with me….But when I brought up the concerns, my supervisor agreed to revise them. So I feel much better.
Although now all I can think about is having a drink…
Today at work somebody asked me, “So how are you dealing with the big loss from last night?”. Apparently there was a big football game last night and Ohio State lost. My first thought at the question…was “Geez, who died? Did i miss a memo?” But no…football. The highlight of the lives of most of the people I work with. Awesome. I really don’t play along…and wouldn’t know how, cause I’m dumb when it comes to that sort of stuff.
My eventual answer was “Uh, what loss?”
He explains.
“Oh, I don’t really care for sports.”
Wasn’t there a Miss America contestant one time…oh awesome I found it..The audio is a little off but wow. Don’t ya kinda feel bad for her? That’d be my luck.
Today I’m going to a business intelligence event in Columbus. In the car at the moment with nothing better to do.
Yesterday I was so annoyed because I wasn’t able to get talula’s meds. I feel so bad because I want my kitty to get better. I shouldn’t have to call the vet three times to get her to call in the prescription. Then I felt like an idiot cause I was waiting at the pharmacy when she finally called it in. Then I was told that it wouldn’t be ready for another day. Wtf. I’m out of town and mike has to work. Wonderful.
Ya know how sometimes your boss will send out an email to everyone in the group with a *reminder* on how a certain process should be done. I always have to laugh, because the first thing I think is…I wonder who messed up. Heheh.
This morning I saw this woman power walking. Nothing unusual in itself. But she was wearing an all black track suit with white gloves. I’m sure she didn’t mean to look like a mime. That just struck me as funny.
Mike and I have been watching Heroes this season, and I just don’t get it. I’m just not feeling it like I did last season. I don’t know if I’m losing interest, or the storylines are too slow.
